Craftsmanship, from fang to finish
With its glistening colourway and scaly design, the Serpentine paint scheme requires careful, detailed craftsmanship that can’t be automated. The red burnish used on each bike is applied by hand using a delicate, time-sensitive technique to give the frame its polished, glossy look.
Another unique aspect of this paint scheme is the use of tactile decals to create the snakeskin pattern. These graphics aren’t new to the Project One shop, but until Serpentine, the team had never executed this technique on such a large scale. With the success of the design, it’s safe to say this tactic will be considered when crafting future Project One bikes.
